Access to Information

The Environmental Protection Agency is committed to being open and accessible in the performance of its environmental protection functions. A large body of information about the environment and our activities is available on our website, in leaflets, publications and reports.

Licence application and enforcement documentation is available to the public for viewing either:

  • online via the Licence Details Pages of the EPA website; the Licence Details Page for each EPA licence or permit may be accessed through the “Search for Licence/Permit” link in either the “Licensing and Permitting” or "Enforcement" modules of the EPA website, or

  • via our LEAP (Licence Enforcement Access Portal) and paper archives, accessible at each of the public viewing facilities at the EPA’s Headquarters in Wexford or our Regional Offices in Dublin, Cork and Castlebar.

Public Access to the licensing and enforcement information held by the EPA is made available in line with Ireland's obligations under the Aarhus Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters and in accordance with the following statutes:
