Air Quality Monitoring at Carnsore Point, Co. Wexford

Carnsore Point, Co. Wexford station updates every two to five minutes with the calculated Air Quality Index for Health (AQIH) and the Air Quality Map shows you if air quality is good, fair, poor or very poor.

The continuous ozone monitor is located at the EMEP (European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme) site at Carnsore Point. The Irish programme is funded by EPA and carried out in partnership with NUI Galway and Met Eireann.

Historical air monitoring information

Air monitoring was previously carried out at Carnsore Point between January 2006 to August 2008. It was operated by the EPA's Environmental Research Centre and measured Particulate (PM10). Results are available to download here Carnsore.
