The EPA recently commissioned the preparation of a revised Guidance Note for Noise (NG4); the Draft version is now being released for external comment. The document,when finalised, will supersede the following Agency Publications (which will then be withdrawn):
- EPA Guidance Note for Noise in Relation to Scheduled Activities (2nd Edition, 2006)
- Environmental Noise Survey Guidance Document (2003)
The Draft Guidance document (NG4) will be available online for feedback or comment (to t.dolan@epa.ie) from 14th December 2011 to 23rd January 2012. After that period, the draft document will be removed and any feedback or comments will be carefully considered by the EPA Steering Group, after which the document will be finalised.
Note 1: In order to minimise the number of individual comments received, it would be preferable if IOA members could feed their comments to Martin Lester, Chairman Irish IOA. The collated IOA comments can then be emailed to t.dolan@epa.ie.
