Council Directive 1999/13/EC on the limitation of emissions of volatile organic compounds due to the use of organic solvents in certain activities and installations has been drawn up to address the harmful effects of organic solvents on human health and the environment.
All Member States are required to report to the Commission every three years on the implementation of Directive 1999/13/EC as set out in Article 11(1).
This first report on the implementation of the Directive covers the period 1st January 2003 to 31st December 2004 as required by Commission Decision 2002/529/EC.
