Waste Workshop

The OEE organised a waste workshop focusing on landfilling issues in October 2009.  The event was attended by over 180 delegates. The workshop focused on the diversion of Biodegradable Municpal Waste (BMW) from landfill.  In addition, landfill gas management, leachate management and the use of appropriate cover materials were discussed.  All talks by EPA speakers from the Waste Workshop, held at the Hodson Bay Hotel Hotel, Athlone, Co.
