EPA prosecutes John Ronan & Sons

On 9May 2006 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted John Ronan & Sons at Clonmel District Court.  The Company pleaded guilty to the use of their facility to dispose of or recover waste in a manner other than specified in the IPC licence, without prior notice to and prior written agreement of the Agency.

On hearing details of the offence from an EPA inspector, Judge Finn imposed fines totalling €2,000 and the EPA’s costs of €5,442 were also awarded.
