EPA prosecutes Padraig Thornton Waste Disposal Limited

On 12 February 2007 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Padraig Thornton Waste Disposal Limited at Dublin Metropolitan District Court.  The Company pleaded guilty to causing odour emissions that resulted in significant impairment of, or significant interference with, amenities or the environment beyond the facility boundary on 07 November 2005.

On hearing details of the offence, Judge Coughlan imposed a fine of €2,750 and EPA costs of €10,000 were also awarded.
