EPA prosecutes Dynea Ireland Limited

On 28 March 2007 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Dynea Ireland Limited at Cobh District Court.  The Company pleaded guilty to four charges which related to non-compliant emissions to atmosphere on four separate occasions.  Fines of €2,500 were imposed for each of these four charges.

The remaining charge, which related to failure to notify the Agency of these non-compliances, was contested by the company.  Judge Patwell found this charge proven and imposed a further fine of €3,000

EPA costs of €10,000 were also awarded.
