EPA prosecutes Premier Proteins (2000) Limited

On 3 September 2008 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Premier Proteins (2000) Limited at Ballinasloe District Court.  The Company pleaded guilty to:

• Failing to control odours emanating from the facility.
• Directing off-gases to alternative treatment options without the prior agreement of the Agency.

On hearing details of the offences, Judge Denis McLoughlin imposed a fine of €1,500 on each charge and awarded EPA costs of € 8,820.
