EPA Prosecutes Irish Water (Ballyvaughan)

On 26th February 2018, the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Irish Water at The Four Courts for its Ballyvaughan agglomeration. 

Irish Water pleaded guilty to:

• Within the period 1 January 2016 to 7 July 2017, failing to complete the improvements as set out in Schedule C: Specified Improvement Programme in order to ensure compliance with the emission limit values as set out in Schedule A: Discharges and Discharge Monitoring.

Judge Brennan convicted Irish Water and imposed a fine of €2,000. 

Agency costs of €4,851.54 were awarded.
