Office of Evidence and Assessment

This Office of the Environmental Protection Agency undertakes air and water quality monitoring, and monitors emissions from licensed facilities.

It conducts the National Hydrometric Programme and is responsible for implementing the EU Air Framework Directive and key aspects of the Water Framework Directive.

The OEA also establishes environmental databases, co-ordinates the environmental research programme, prepares environmental quality reports and publishes periodic State of the Environment reports.
