Micheál Ó Cinnéide was appointed in mid 2008 as an EPA Director and is currently the Director of the Office of Communications and Corporate Services. Micheál was previously Director of Marine Environment and Food Safety Services with the Marine Institute in Galway. He worked with the Southern Regional Fisheries Board and Department of the Marine as Special Adviser to the Minister of State. Micheál has worked with the Irish Seafood Producers Group, as an Associate Fellow at Harvard Business School, and as a diplomat with the Department of Foreign Affairs, serving in New York and Cairo. Micheál is a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, an MBA from Harvard and completed a DBA at Waterford Institute of Technology in 2015, with a research focus on Social Learning and the EU Water Framework Directive.
