The European Environment Agency (EEA) today released its State of the Environment Report (SOER) 2015. This report provides a comprehensive assessment of the European environment’s state, trends and prospects, and places it in a global context.
With its broad range of global, European, regional and country-level briefings, complemented by an overarching synthesis report and a global megatrends report, SOER 2015 will be an invaluable source of knowledge for all those interested and involved in improving Europe’s environment.
Welcoming the report, Laura Burke, Director General, EPA said:
“We must ensure that the environment is placed at the heart of everyday decisions and actions. This provides a challenge for all European and national institutions to work more closely together to help deliver common outcomes for a healthy environment.
Clear, accurate and timely information is a vital component in raising awareness among the public and among key policy and decision makers. This State of the Environment report is an essential part of this process.”
