The EPA has today updated the Remedial Action List for public drinking water supplies. This list is used by the EPA to direct actions to resolve the most serious deficiencies in public water supplies. This is formulated as a result of EPA audits and investigations of drinking water quality failures. The primary issues identified by the EPA include: effective disinfection, barriers to Cryptosporidium, and inadequate control of trihalomethanes.
