Effective waste management is a priority theme for the EPA's STRIVE R&D Programme, which supports research to address the environmental impacts of waste generation and management. A number of EPA-funded research projects examining emerging issues for waste management have recently been completed.
This seminar, attended by over 70 representatives from local authorities, consultancies and waste management companies, provided an overview of the conclusions from the work and facilitated discussion with the researchers.
