Next Monday sees the start of the UNFCC Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, where international leaders will discuss a global agreement to limit the impacts of climate change.

Dioxin Levels in Ireland well below EU Limits, EPA reports - Dec 02 2009, 11:57 AM
The latest Environmental Protection Agency report on dioxin levels in the Irish environment shows that all of the samples had dioxin levels well below the relevant EU limits. The report also shows that dioxin levels measured in this survey compare favourably with those taken from similar surveys in EU and other countries.

Provisional Greenhouse Gas emissions figures released today by the EPA, for use in the annual Carbon Budget, include trends since 1990 and show Ireland’s status in meeting our obligations set under the Kyoto Protocol. Ireland’s Greenhouse Gas emissions fell by 210,000 tonnes (0.3 %) in 2008.
