EPA releases preliminary study into the use of hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) technology - May 11 2012, 10:00 AM The EPA has today published a report from a preliminary study on current knowledge about the environmental considerations and impacts of shale gas exploration and extraction, and in particular the use of hydraulic fracturing technology. The study: “Hydraulic Fracturing or ‘Fracking’: A Short Summary of Current Knowledge and Potential Environmental Impacts” was conducted by the University of Aberdeen.
Kerdiffstown Landfill Remediation Project Community Update – Number 10 - May 10 2012, 10:11 AM Wednesday 8th of February saw the completion of Phase I of the Site Investigation Programme at Kerdiffstown Landfill, with the successful completion of 24 boreholes across the site.
