Sustainable Environment Research Workshop

The EPA is organising a workshop on Sustainable Environment Research Priorities for 2014-2020.

The outcomes of this workshop will inform the foundations and directions of the new EPA Research Programme 2014-2020 (i.e. a replacement programme for STRIVE, which ends this year). It is proposed to cover EPA funding mechanisms and discuss the following four provisional Sustainable Environment topics:

  • Resource Efficiency
  • Health and Well Being
  • Socio Economics
  • Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services

The EPA funds research under three pillars: Water, Sustainable Environment and Climate Change. The EPA is currently preparing a new research  strategy for 2014-2020. A key part of this preparation involves stakeholder consultation.
