The PRTR is a national database of annual mass releases of specified pollutants to air, water and land from sites covered by the PRTR regulations. The database also holds information on the waste transfers from these sites. This section gives the background to the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR) and the European - Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (E-PRTR), highlights the important dates within the AER/PRTR reporting year and allows operators to access guidance and calculation tools which will help complete the AER/PRTR returns accurately and on time.
