Who needs a Part B Deliberate Release Consent ?

Any person or organisation proposing to release a Genetically Modified organisms (GMOs) into the environment for purposes of research and development. for example:-

· A field trial of Genetically Modified organisms (GMOs) crops
· Hospital clinical trials in the case of Genetically Modified Micro-organisms (GMMs) used for gene delivery  systems for medicinal purposes
