Benzo (a) Pyrene Levels at Bodkin Roundabout

Monitoring for Benzo (a) Pyrene (BaP) began in January 2009 as a requirement of the 4th Daughter Directive (2004/107/EC). BaP is measured as part of the PM10 sampling.  Particulate filters are digested and analysed in the lab.

The Air Quality Regulations require the results for benzo (a) pyrene, as an average value over the preceding 12 months, on at least a three-monthly basis. Check the site log for additional information.
