The above index is for overall Air Quality in Zone C and not just at this station. The index is calculated based on the latest available measurements of ozone, nitrogen dioxide, PM10 and sulphur dioxide in Zone C.
The Celbridge site was located in the grounds of St. Raphaels property, just outside the centre of Celbridge. Monitoring began in July 2010 and ceased in January 2011 for inorganic gases, while PM10 monitoring was continued till May 2011. Monitoring was done using continuous monitors for carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and Benzene, while PM10 concentrations were assessed using a combination of TEOM and Partisol measurements. An assessment report detailing the observed concentrations shall be available to download late 2011 / early 2012.
