The above index is for overall Air Quality in Zone A and not just at this station. The index is calculated based on the latest available measurements of ozone, nitrogen dioxide, PM10 and sulphur dioxide in Zone A.
The Coleraine St. site is located on the North side of the Liffey, about 500m from the city centre. This site is operated by Dublin City Council.
Monitoring is done using continuous monitors for carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Continuous samples are also taken for particulates (PM2.5) and lead.
