The above index is for overall Air Quality in Zone A and not just at this station. The index is calculated based on the latest available measurements of ozone, nitrogen dioxide, PM10 and sulphur dioxide in Zone A.
The Knocklyon site is located in St Columcille's Community School, Knocklyon, about 200 metres from the M50 motorway. The assessment took place between April 2008 and January 2009.
Levels of sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, benzene and PM10 were measured. The assessment report will be available later in 2009.
