The above index is for overall Air Quality in Zone A and not just at this station. The index is calculated based on the latest available measurements of ozone, nitrogen dioxide, PM10 and sulphur dioxide in Zone A.
The Winetavern St. site is located on the South side of the Liffey near Christchurch Cathedral, about 500m from the city centre. This site is operated by Dublin City Council.
Monitoring is done using continuous monitors for sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. Continuous samples are also taken for particulates (PM10), Benzo (a) Pyrene (BaP) and lead. Real time data is not available from this site.
