The above index is for overall Air Quality in Zone D and not just at this station. The index is calculated based on the latest available measurements of ozone, nitrogen dioxide, PM10 and sulphur dioxide in Zone D.
The Emo site is located in the grounds of Emo Court, a stately home in County Laois. The site is heavily forested and was chosen to assess the levels of ozone in a forested area.
