The above index is for overall Air Quality in Zone C and not just at this station. The index is calculated based on the latest available measurements of ozone, nitrogen dioxide, PM10 and sulphur dioxide in Zone C.
The Newbridge site was located on Kildare County Council property, at the centre of Newbridge. Monitoring was conducted from October 2009 to May 2010. Monitoring was done using continuous monitors for carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, Benzene, Lead and PM10. An assessment report detailing observed concentrations shall be available in late 2010, early 2011.
