The above index is for overall Air Quality in Zone C and not just at this station. The index is calculated based on the latest available measurements of ozone, nitrogen dioxide, PM10 and sulphur dioxide in Zone C.
The Limerick site is located at the Limerick City Council laboratories on Park Road, Reebogue. The ozone analyser was installed on 17th February 2005. The nitrogen oxides monitor was installed on 30th December 2005.
Monitoring is done using continuous monitors for ozone and nitrogen oxides. The latest results can be viewed through the below link.
