About the National Waste Prevention Committee

A National Waste Prevention Committee convened on 13 July 2004 to monitor the development of the National Waste Prevention Programme and provide strategic direction for the EPA in implementing it.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is providing the chairperson and secretariat for the committee. Members are drawn from governmental, non-governmental, business and sectoral interest groups.
