Cavan County Council: Contact: Sinead Fox - 087-9808507 sfox@cavancoco.ie; www.cavancoco.ie 19-27 November: Awareness in Waste Prevention - Activities taking place in Cavan Town - Green Schools Poster Campaign winners to be used for billboard campaign; Campaign about litter through local media - newspapers and radio; Music Youth bands day to raise awareness of EWWR; County-wide Billboard Campaign on Waste Prevention; Facebook awareness to reach youth and Cavan Institute students; Electric Car public session, local media radio interviews with each Local Authority Litter Warden to raise awareness on litter problems.
Limerick Clare Kerry Regional Waste Office: Contact: Pauline McDonagh - 061-496844 paulinemcdonagh@managewaste.ie; www.managewaste.ie 19 November: ICA Bootcamp Launch - Bringing a new life to old clothes: Representatives of the network will be showing how easy it is to make clothes last longer including: Hemming, Button & Zip repair, Customising for new life and basic sewing machine skills; A new web page will be launched aimed at encouraging all to pledge to complete a simple waste prevention action.
Carlow County Council: Contact:  Fionnghuala Ryan - 059-9136240 - fryan@carlowcoco.ie; www.carlow.ie 22 November:  Garden Swap Shop - A "Tidy Towns Swap Shop" event will be held in Bagenalstown. Public will be encouraged to bring old, unnecessary pieces of equipment, (strimmers, gardening tools), garden furniture etc. All items will be swapped/given to other Tidy Towns groups instead of being thrown away. A WEEE collection is also being organised for the day on-site.

Waterford County Council: Contact: Anne Sullivan - 058-22116 - asullivan@waterfordcoco.ie; www.waterfordcoco.ie 19-27 November - Food Waste Awareness - A Flash Mob event will be held in Dungarvan shopping centre to raise awareness of food waste and an environmental awareness campaign involving stands on the EcoCert, Green Business, Anti Litter awareness and promotion will also be held;  participation by Green Schools in a competition to design a poster on food waste reduction - winning design will be printed onto a flag which will be raised on the day at the end of the flash mob event.

(t/a DPD):  Contact:  Eoin Boyle - 090-6420576 - eoin.boyle@dpd.ie; www.dpd.ie 21-25 November: Awareness Generation:  To increase the environmental awareness of both employees, customers and subcontractors by:  emailing EWWR/SEAI relevant posters to all head office employees and to 36 regional depots; emailing customers an information email on EWWR; emailing Eco Driving information packs & posters to all our 36 depot owners; conducting an old mobile phone collection and recycling drive for employees at head quarters and contacts throughout the depot network.
Free Trade Ireland: Contact: Brenda McEvoy - 01-5239235 - info@freetradeireland.ie; www.freetradeireland.ie 24-25 November: Re-use Awareness Campaign -  Free Trade Ireland sign up session in IKEA, Ballymun on 25 Nov to highlight and promote through presentations and live demonstrations  the reuse ethos. Customers will also be given the opportunity to sign up to the service and post ads in store. In conjunction with Roscommon County Council and Mayo County Councils a Free Trade Ireland 'FREE-use Point' will be set up at Roscommon Recycling Centre (24 Nov) and Ballina Recycling Centre (25 Nov) where quality items received at the centre will be intercepted and posted up on the website for reuse.

19-27 November:  World Clean Up 2012 -  people mobilizing people to make the world a clean place and raise awareness about waste reduction. Rezidor and Carlson Group announce a global partnership with World Clean Up 2012, a global campaign which aims to clean up stray garbage in 100 countries and raise people's awareness worldwide. 18 Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson hotels will launch clean up actions in 11 countries. The local (volunteer) teams have created a network of local partners (businesses, non-profits, local governments and media) who will all spread the message in the run up to their national cleaning date.

19-27 November: Launch and promotion of Food Waste = Money Waste internet video which has been produced by Monaghan County Council. 21-25 Nov: The Smoothie Bike - Workshop in 5 different schools that focuses on our consumption patterns and how small changes can make a difference.

You can bring any used electrical item with a plug or a battery to be recycled for Free.
