EPA prosecutes Adhesives Research Ireland Limited

On 19 January 2007 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Adhesives Research Ireland Limited at Limerick District Court.  The Company pleaded guilty to:

• Failing to record sampling and monitoring of emissions to atmosphere.

• Providing the Agency with information that was false or misleading in a material respect on two separate occasions.

On hearing details of the offence from the EPA’s solicitor, Judge O’Donnell imposed a fine of €500 in relation to one of the charges and took the other two into consideration. The EPA’s costs of €6,865 were also awarded.
