Recent incidents at EPA licensed facitilites, reported to the EPA, are outlined below.

Update to EPA Statement re Fire at the Thorntons Recycling Centre (Ballyfermot) - Jan 10 2021, 3:00 PM
The EPA is aware of a fire at the Thorntons Recycling Centre (Ballyfermot), Killeen Road, Ballyfermot (EPA Licence W0044).

Fire at ESB Moneypoint, Industrial Emissions Licence Registration No. P0605-04, Killimer, Kilrush, County Clare, 28 September 2020. - Sep 29 2020, 2:26 PM
The EPA was informed on 29 September 2020 at 10:09am of an incident at the ESB Moneypoint site.

Discharge of untreated sewage to the Naniken River, Dublin - Mar 05 2020, 11:28 AM
The EPA has been notified of the release of untreated sewage into the Naniken River near St Anne’s Park, Dublin caused by a blockage in the public sewer.

Incident at Tipperary Co-op waste water treatment plant (IE Reg P0801-01) - Jan 31 2020, 4:38 PM
The EPA is investigating an incident which they became aware of through receipt of odour complaints in Tipperary Town.

Incident at Leixlip Water Treatment Plant - Oct 23 2019, 10:43 AM
The EPA has been notified of an incident at Leixlip Water Treatment Plant today and is investigating this incident. The role of the EPA is to oversee that Irish Water provide a safe supply of drinking water to public water supplies.
