In line with the requirements of the European Union (Waste Water Discharge) Regulations 2007 to 2020, the EPA has commenced an examination of Waste Water Discharge Licences (WWDLs).
The Purpose of the WWDL examinations is to ensure that the authorisations satisfy the relevant environment requirements of the European Union (Waste Water Discharge) Regulations 2007 to 2020.
The EPA intends to publish a report on each WWDL examination. The EPA are inviting comments or observations in relation to their examination of WWDLs. An initial list of draft examinations reports is available at the link below. The Agency will issue draft examination reports in batches and will update the list accordingly. You can submit a comment or observation within three weeks of publication of the draft WWDL examination reports:
A pro-forma template has been developed to assist in making submissions and is available here. It should be noted that due to current Covid-19 restrictions it is preferable to submit comments or observations by email. To assist us in considering your comments or observations in a timely manner, please have regard to the scope of the examination as outlined above and reference the WWDL register number. The information you submit will be published to the Agency’s website and will remain there indefinitely. In submitting comments, you are agreeing to the information being published to the Agency’s website and the Agency using the email address / postal address provided to correspond with you.
