Project Abstract
Global dairy production is currently undergoing a paradigm shift stemming from 1) rapidly increasing global demand for dairy products, 2) growing concerns on climate change and the contribution of agriculture, 3) consumer behaviour and trends, and 4) anticipated long-term volatility of global dairy markets. Concurrently, a revolution is occurring in technologies that can address many challenges facing the sector. The objective of the centre is to generate and deploy innovative fundamental and applied science and technologies to aid in the understanding and monitoring of the complex interactions that exist across a highly inter-dependent food production chain from soil to sustenance.
