The EPA is recruiting a Scientific Officer II (Level 4) Analytical Chemist. An immediate vacancy exists in the EPA Kilkenny Water Laboratory, which carries out analysis of environmental samples using a range of modern analytical techniques and instrumentation. This role will involve managing and implementing monitoring programmes for the measurement of a range of pollutants, including trace level contaminants, in Irish waters for the purpose of providing evidence of water quality status.

The successful candidate will fulfil the role of Programme Officer IV (Level 6) and will be assigned an entry level administrative role with responsibility for a range of tasks in the office assigned. They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with both scientific/technical and business support staff and may be assigned to any office in the EPA, duties may vary depending on the nature of work carried out by the office.
