Project Abstract
The successful completion of the project will create a new revenue stream for �ireComposites - producing large-scale recyclable plastic products. The project results, in particular the production of a recyclable wind turbine blade, will demonstrate the potential for this environmentally-friendly technology, while further lowering the carbon footprint of the wind energy sector. Other businesses may be able to adopt some of these processes or can licence the use of the novel technologies. The results will be communicated to project stakeholders at an international conference and trade shows, along with the submission of an academic publication to a peer reviewed journal.
