Project Abstract

ilvaro Lagartos studied for an MSc. at Cork Institute of Technology. His research was funded by the Environmental Protection Agency under the Environmental Technologies Masters Scholarship Scheme. The research project was entitled iEnhanced pervaporation using a novel permeate recovery technologyi. Research Project Reference 2005-ET-S-10-M3.ilvaro Lagartos studied in Cork for 20 months from November 2005 to June 2007. His scholarship funding finished in June 2007 and he went home to Spain. He had intended continuing to work on his thesis in Spain. However he has made very little progress. He obtained employment in February 2008 working in the area of membrane technology. We have had some contact with him over the past year. He will not be completing his MSc. This report comprises a short review of the project a compilation of the draft thesis chapters as submitted by ilvaro Lagartos. The technical progress reports submitted to the EPA over the course of the project are included as is the latest financial report.
