Project Abstract

The project will test and prove a novel approach to supply chain greening which is applicable to businesses in all industry sectors. The approach is characterised by its simplicity, objectiveness, transparancy, and its ability to measure a business's progress in greening its supply chain, year-on-year. The project will also support 20 Irish companies in the supply chains of two large participating businesses. These suppliers will improve their sustainability and in doing so achieve annual savings of 3,000+ in their energy, waste and water costs. They will also achieve an EcoMerit environmental certification. One-off project cost 59,206. Annual savings thereafter 60,000+
