Project Abstract

During the second phase of the CCRP, 2011-2013, the research specialist in Theme 1: GHG emissions and Sinks, will be in engaged in four main activities: 1. On-going management of existing research project, supervising the publication of end of project reports with particular emphasis on the policy implications of the research findings, and the incorporation of relevant findings into the national inventory reporting procedures. 2. Assessment of recommendations for additional research emerging from research community. Identification of emerging topics and additional knowledge gaps. Of particular interest 3. Development of the CCRP, through additional calls for project, fellowship and tender based research. 4. 2010/2010 is a key period in the international process and will have important consequences with respect to the rules and procedures for reporting GHG emissions post Kyoto. The project will involve close engagement with this process
