Project Abstract

The PhD studentship will investigate the potential of nature-based solutions within Irish national policy, urban planning, financing, management and collaborative action. It will create a platform for supporting policy-makers who are tasked with implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as co-produce an engagement facility for planners, designers, researchers and multiple stakeholders. Part of the research will entail key stakeholder engagement (with communities-of-interest and communities-of-influence), national and international case-study analysis, focus groups and co-creation workshops, as well as strong collaboration with the growing nature-based solution research community.
