Project Abstract

The results expected are to show a clear ability to remove all trace volatiles from the recovered bottles. This then positions the recyclate (rHDPE) as a potential virgin HDPE substtute for critical applications such as exist in the automotive industry - which reflects a wide potential application across industry. This invetsigation wil enable a considered market entry for Irsh based companies to devellop engineering grade rHDPE for high end applications. Accordingly, the results if positive will be promoted within Mergon's existing and potential supplier base as well as to the end market automotive customers.
