Project Abstract

The aim of this fellowship is to produce analysis and other work that is useful to and used by stakeholders to inform actions and decisions on the transition to a low-carbon and climate resilient society. Such transition must occur across a range of activities; individual behaviour, entrepreneurial behaviour, farming, government and investment planning. This fellowship will engage with socioeconomic and technologies research supported by the EPA and link it to national and international policy developments to develop a coherent picture of transition options and opportunities for Ireland. Engagement with the private sector and the investment community will complete the picture and in particular will allow consideration of green economy opportunities for Ireland. Communication and dissemination of research results will be key to ensuring that the work adds value and informs decision making.
