Project Abstract

Vytal is a reusable packaging system that allows reusable packaging to be tracked and stock levels monitored. The system encourages users to participate by making it cost neutral, and facilitates stock remaining in the system by only charging for packaging that is not returned within a set period. Vytal is managed by a digital platform and is therefore easily scaleable nationwide, not only for consumer facing food and beverage packaging, but other fast moving consumer goods and tertiary packaging. The technology was developed in Germany and the system is available for partners and end users to download for free on any phone. Our mission is to deliver to the Irish food service market the best reusable food and beverage container system, in terms of cost, convenience, functionality, carbon metrics, and life cycle.
