Project Abstract
Food producers and supporters gain from recognition of their responsible production from environmentally friendly consumers. Producers of food gain online exposure to promote themselves to the public. They also access to a dedicated area with useful resources, industry related information and a communal notice/discussion board for engaging with other food producers. Local community gains from the stimulation of circular economy, access to fresh, healthful produce and more local social engagement. The environment gains from sustainable, less damaging farming methods, reduced air miles and carbon emissions and less packaging. Waste to landfill is also reduced by encouraging producers to share resources.
