The Old Station Road site was located on the South side of the river Lee near City Hall, about 500m from the Cork city centre. The site was operated by Cork City Council.

Monitoring was done using continuous monitors for sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and ozone. Continuous samples were also taken for particulates (PM2.5 and PM10), and benzene.

Monitoring at the Old Station Road site ceased in 2013.
