Organic/Elemental Carbon, Anion/Cation levels at Claremorris

Organic Carbon/Elemental Carbon, chloride, nitrate, sulphate, ammonium, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium are measured as part of the particulate matter fraction in PM2.5. Particulate filters are analysed in the laboratory for the above compounds.

The main objective of the above measurements are to ensure that adequate information is available on background air quality levels. There are no limit values at present. Measurement is for indicative purposes only.
