Project Abstract

The PhD research aims to explore the role of co-design in urban rewilding through a social-ecological traits framework. The Fulbright EPA Award would contribute to the final research chapter which is dedicated to examining the co-design process in action working with a case study community in New York City. This research will be conducted over a six-month period beginning in August 2024 with the support from the Urban Systems Lab (USL) in The New School. USL is an interdisciplinary research lab which focuses on developing more sustainable, equitable, and resilient cities. Researchers within the lab have conducted extensive research into the topics embedded within this project. The institute also has previous experience in hosting Fulbright scholars.
