Scientific Officer III (Level 5) Hydrometrics and Groundwater

Summary: The successful candidate will fulfil the role of Scientific Officer III (Level 5) Hydrometrics & Groundwater. The successful candidate will be based in the Athlone office but may be required to carry out hydrometric monitoring anywhere in the country. The role is predominately an outdoor role, and the successful candidate will be part of the hydrometric field monitoring team, measuring river flows, lake and groundwater levels. They will work with colleagues within their wider Hydrometric & Groundwater team to ensure delivery of the hydrometric field work programme. The successful candidate will be required to assess, interpret and validate the hydrometric data gathered in their region and provide technical advice to their line manager and the regional team lead on the hydrometric stations in their area.
