Summary: This note sets out the implications for relevant EPA authorisations from the large-scale operation of emergency generation plant by large energy users which do not currently hold an Industrial Emissions licence for the combustion of fuels as per class 2.1 of the First Schedule of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 as amended.
