Climate Change Lecture Series - Climate Risk and Adaptation in an Uncertain World

The EPA, as part of the National Dialogue on Climate Action, will host a public lecture titled Climate Risk and Adaptation in an Uncertain World on Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 22nd April at 7.00PM.

Speaker: Suraje is Professor of Climate Change Adaptation at the Sustainability Research Institute in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds, and a member of the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change. His research focuses on the management of climate change uncertainties, perception of climate risks and the science-policy interface in climate change impacts and adaptation.

Climate change impacts are accelerating worldwide, making adaptation an urgent priority. In this upcoming EPA climate lecture, Professor Suraje Dessai (University of Leeds) will examine the concept of climate risk and how adaptation can help manage that risk in an uncertain future. 

Suraje is Professor of Climate Change Adaptation at the Sustainability Research Institute in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds, and a member of the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change. His research focuses on the management of climate change uncertainties, perception of climate risks and the science-policy interface in climate change impacts and adaptation.
